Every material we stock, what it does well, and where it falls short. Choose one yourself, or describe the part and we'll recommend the best fit with your quote.
Best for: everyday functional parts: brackets, mounts, housings, clips, and holders. Strong, durable, and the right default for most jobs.
Not ideal for: extended direct sunlight (choose ASA) or fine detail work (PLA holds sharper edges). Full PETG details & specifications.
Best for: indoor parts, prototypes, models, display pieces, and jigs. Prints the finest detail and cleanest surface of any material we stock, with a matte finish available.
Not ideal for: vehicle interiors, outdoor use, or parts under sustained load. PLA softens around 55°C and is more brittle than our other materials. Full PLA details & specifications.
Best for: exterior, automotive, and marine applications: vents, trim, mounts, mirror and light housings. UV- and weather-stable, so it won't fade, chalk, or become brittle with sun exposure.
Not ideal for: indoor parts, where PETG or PLA does the same job at lower cost. Full ASA details & specifications.
Best for: parts that need to flex, grip, seal, or absorb impact: gaskets, bumpers, machine feet, grips, flexible hinges, and protective covers. A durable, rubber-like material.
Not ideal for: rigid structural parts or fine detail work. Full TPU details & specifications.
Best for: components near heat or electrical equipment: enclosures, electronics housings, and brackets that cannot be allowed to soften or ignite. Flame-retardant polycarbonate, tested by the manufacturer to the UL 94-2023 V-0 standard, with the highest strength and heat tolerance we stock.
Not ideal for: general-purpose or decorative parts. This is an engineering material and is priced as one. Full PC FR details & specifications.
Best for: weight-critical builds: RC aircraft, drones, and lightweight structures. A specialty foaming ASA that expands as it prints, reducing weight substantially while retaining ASA's weather resistance.
Not ideal for: load-bearing or precision parts. It trades strength and surface finish for low weight. Full ASA Aero details & specifications.
Describe the part and its working conditions: indoors or outdoors, near heat, under load, or needing to flex. We'll recommend the right material as part of your quote, at no extra cost.
